I have a special green book that I fumbled upon this week. It's a special book that among other things contains my initial inspiration about my 18 month journey, and latter thoughts on coming to terms with the idea. As i thumbed through it, many memories came about how I felt so vulnerable in many ways but how I came to know what faith was on a much deeper level.

I'll share two thoughts: One is a poem. I fancied myself a poet I guess...ha no really I think it just helped me make sense of various situations and feelings around me.The other is a scripture that I absolutely love and wrote in the book.

As the car came down the hill
the headlight beams revealed the
melodic motions of the heat waves
rising from the road.
The tall, severe street lamp looked on,
exposing the weaker flaws of the pebbles and
sticks strewing the street.
The puddles winked in the light and
added to the damp feel that clung
to sweaters and seeped through

2. Alma 32:35: O then, is not this real? I say unto you, Yea, because it is light; and whatsoever is light, is good, because it is discernible, therefore ye must know that it is good; and now behold, after ye have tasted this light is your knowledge perfect?

>>>(light can be felt)<<<

friendship can be felt, family love can be felt, divine guidance can be felt, gratitude can be felt.

Happy Thanksgiving :)

  1. I love that poem :) That is great that you have all those thoughts to look back on.

  2. Oh De. Remember how I saw this like a literal few minutes after you posted it. I love this. I think you are a very gifted expressor of thoughts. If that even makes sense. You are wonderful.
