museum moment #4

As I'm stamping two little kids (maybe 3 or 4 yrs?) hands so they can go into the museum, they look down at the stamp with curiosity on their faces.

"What is it?"

"Its a raptor claw, I explain have you ever seen a raptor in the museum?"

The little boy looks up, his eyes lighting up.

Ah recognition, I think, impressive.

"Have you ever seen a dog with one leg that could still walk?" He blurts back.

It takes me about ten seconds to recover from my mouth agape stare.
