When in New York City may I suggest going to Juniors for a simply wonderful slice of cheesecake.
There are many varieties including red velvet and pumpkin swirl.
Does your tab does not allow for a vacation?
Try your hand at making the traditional cake here
Their secret for no cracks lies in the water bath you cook it in
It makes a perfect cheesecake
(until your brother sticks his finger in it "wondering what it is").

  2. while baking the cream cheese layer-Place the springform pan in a large shallow pan containing hot water that comes about 1 inch up the sides of the pan. (water bath)
