a kindred spirit

I'm not really sure how to start a blog, so I'm going to start with something from Emily :). When most people think of Dickinson, I think they conjure up thoughts that all her poems are about death or depressing thoughts. So wrong. here is one of her lesser known love poems. I love that each time you read one of her poems something new jumps out.

XXXVII
LOVE is anterior to life,
Posterior to death,
Initial of creation, and
The exponent of breath

  1. Have you read much Robert Frost? My favorite love poem is one of his, "Never Again Would Birds' Song Be the Same."
