I know
most people read this in high school
But I just finished it
and it was wonderful

Yes, it is slightly depressing in that the plot follows a man dying. However, I really love all the mini topics that the two characters discuss. It is a story about a man named Mitch and his college professor Morrie. The story follows two different times: when Mitch was taking courses from the professor, and their weekly "classes" later on as Morrie is dying.

some fav quotes-
"Sometimes you cannot believe what you see, you have to believe what you feel. And if you are ever going to have other people trust you, you must feel that you can trust them, too-even when you're in the dark. Even when you're falling"

"Do the kinds of things that come from the heart. When you do, you won't be dissatisfied, you won't be envious, you won't be longing for somebody else's things. On the contrary you'll be overwhelmed with what comes back"

"Love wins. Love always wins."

" But really listening to someone-without trying to sell them something, pick them up, recruit them, or get some kind of status in return-how often do we get this anymore? I believe many visitors in the last few months of Morrie's life were drawn not because of the attention they wanted to pay to him but because of the attention he paid to them."
